The ONE Thing by Gary Keller Summary
The ONE Thing is incredible and is on my list of best books of 2018. It shares several similar concepts with Essentialism. The main concepts that helped me are learning to use the focusing question, being aware of the domino effect, and time blocking.
Spiritual Leadership Book Summary
Spiritual Leadership one of the best books I have read. It is powerful, deep, and dense with substance. It contains a multitude of applications for leadership and management. My favorite chapters are 12: The Leader and Time and 13: The Leader and Reading. Chapter 13 contains practical applications on what to read, how to read, and how to get more out of what you read.
The Coaching Habit Book Summary
Filled with good questions, advice on listening and tips on saying no. I recommend this book for almost everyone including leaders, managers, parents and employees.
Warren Buffett’s Top 8 Activities
Charlie Munger wrote a letter containing this list of Warren Buffett's eight reserved activities. My favorite one is: "His first priority would be reservation of much time for quiet reading and thinking, particularly that which might advance his determined learning, no matter how old he became." The post contains a list of all eight.
Algorithms to Live by Book Summary
Algorithms to Live By is a surprisingly fun book considering the subject. Contains mathematical philosophy on decision making on a wide range of topics. Including hiring, dating, real estate, sorting, and even doing laundry. At the top are several key quotes from the book, two of my favorites are "Inaction is just as irrevocable as action" and "Seizing the day and seizing a lifetime are two entirely different endeavors."
The Wisdom of Success Book Summary
This was one of my favorite books read in 2017, I strongly recommend reading it. Andrew Carnegie's major motive was making men more useful to themselves and others. He said that making better men is a greater motive than making money.
48 Laws of Power Book Summary
Some of the content of this book is not moral or ethical. Unfortunately the tactics are real and in common use today. One should be aware of such tactics and reading this will help with understanding the dynamics of power.
The Art of War by Sun Tzu Summary
Audible Channels currently has this version available for free for members, look under channels in the Celebrity Voices section, running time 1 hr and 7 mins. Insights for warfare and generals with applications to many fields including leadership, management, psychology, business strategy, and politics.

Part biography and part business story with insights into leadership and management practices.
