This is the first Malcolm Gladwell book that I have read, and I loved it. The central focus of Talking to Strangers is trying to understand the circumstances that led to the death of Sandra Bland. The book is heartbreaking and insightful. I strongly recommend reading it.
This is one of my best books of 2018. Short but highly concentrated. Almost every sentence left me wanting to take notes.
My favorite quote and key takeaway from the book is "The ability to connect with others begins with understanding the value of people."
Contains both philosophical and tactical advice. Filled with stories and anecdotes from George's law enforcement career. The explanation in chapter 5 of three types of people, nice, difficult and wimps, was eye opening and helped me in my relationships with several people.
