Part 1: Believe Bigger

Chapter 1: Get Ready for a Shift
All God has to do is make a little shift to send explosive blessings your way.
Chapter 2: A Flood is Coming
Thank you, Lord that all the plans you have for me and all the dreams you have put in my heart will come to pass.
Thank you that I am healthy, strong and full of energy.
Chapter 3: Further Faster
Bamboo takes 4 years growing roots then shoots up on the 5th year. (Chinese bamboo plant.)
Chapter 4: Explosive Blessings
Proverbs says the wealth of the sinner laid up for the just. When Lakewood took over the stadium it was a 400 million dollar building that they were able to sign a 60-year lease on, they paid 7 years of the lease and then bought the building for 7 million dollars. God had prepared that stadium for them even as it was being built.
Chapter 5: Increase Your Capacity to Receive
Cup, bucket, barrel, barn.

Part 2: Consider God, Not Circumstances

Chapter 6: Unshakable Faith
Chapter 7: Be Confident in What You Have
God can cause you to be seen the way He wants you to be seen.
You will come into new opportunities, healing, and favor like never before.
Chapter 8: Yes is in Your Future
Every no gets you closer to your yes.
Chapter 9 God is Preparing the Way for Victory
Chapter 10 The Gracious Hand of God
Favor factor
Thank God that His favor is on you
Tell people you have God’s hand on you before He does great things, like Nehemiah and Job.

Part 3: Pray God-Sized Prayers

Chapter 11: Pray God-Sized Prayers
How you pray determines what kind of life you live
Pray for the impossible
Remove the limits you put on God
Dare to ask!
Ask small receive small
What if your dreams aren’t happening because you are not being bold enough to ask?
Chapter 12 Remind God of What He Said
Present your case to God as a contract with evidence from His Word
Chapter 13 Power of Believing
I will lend and not borrow.
Chapter 14 Have Uncommon Faith
Joshua asked God to stop the sun
Ask God for double, twice the wisdom, twice the friends, favor, income, etc

Part 4: Keep the Right Perspective

Chapter 15 Keep the Right Perspective
David never called Goliath a giant, others did.
The spies saw the same land and giants, Caleb and Joshua did not focus their perspective on the problems
Chapter 16 Stay in the Game
Your life is not over because you had a setback
God gave Job double what he had before his setbacks
Chapter 17 Your Second Wind is on its Way
If you never feel like giving up, your dreams are too small.
If you never feel like quitting, you need to set larger goals.
Isaiah they that wait on the Lord will renew their strength!
Chapter 18 The God Who Closes Doors
Thank God for the doors He closes as much as for the doors He opens
Some doors have to be closed to allow others to open
Our dreams are too small for God’s plans. If God answered our prayers as we wanted and never closed doors, it would limit His plans for us.
Chapter 19 God is in Control of the Storm
Eagles do not fly in the midst of a storm or fight against the winds, they spread their wings and let the winds raise them above the storm.
Airplanes take off against the wind, not with it.

Part 5: Do Not Settle for Good Enough

Chapter 20 Do Not Settle for Good Enough
I will become everything God has created me to be.
Just because you gave up does not mean that God did. Get in agreement with God.
Do not settle for C grades.
Good is the enemy of great.
Abraham’s father settled for Haran instead of the promised land.
I Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
Chapter 21 You are Uncontainable
God put seeds of increase inside of us when He created us
Scripture says God will cause His face to shine on us. That is His favor shining on us.
Illustration of Joel’s dad buying a suit and insisting that he didn’t want a discount because God had abundantly supplied all he needed.
Chapter 22 Develop Your Pearl
Irritations are designed to help you develop and grow
Don’t try to pray away every trouble and traffic jam, let God use them to mold you like the potter
Suffering that makes us say no to our flesh is good for us. When we pass those tests it allows God to refine us and develops our character.
God will refine us to a vessel of gold for God’s highest purposes.
Learn to overlook an offense.

Questions to ask yourself:

  • How much have I grown in the last 5 years?
  • Do I have a better attitude?
  • Do I trust God more?
  • Do I treat people better?
  • Am I more patient?
  • Do I forgive quicker?

You should not be in the same place this year as you were last year.
If you are still getting upset over the same things that upset you 5 years ago, it is time to grow up.
If someone gets under your skin, God wants to use them to refine you.
The sooner you start passing your tests the better off you will be.
God may not remove the irritation, it just stops bothering you.
I Peter 4:12 says trials test our quality.
Trials bring to light things we need to work on.
You are tested in areas you need to work on
Chapter 23 Get Over It
You are not defined by your past you are prepared by your past.
Nothing in life happens to you, it happens for you.
What happened to you is not a disadvantage in God’s eyes. It will thrust you into your destiny.
Forgive those who did you wrong and move forward.
You can come out of it like Job with twice the peace, twice the increase, twice the victory.
Chapter 24 Put Actions Behind Your Faith
Do you have faith that God can see?
Are you doing anything out of the ordinary to show God you believe Him?
Demonstrate your faith.
We want change without taking action. That is not how God works.
Chapter 25 God Will Finish What He Started
God would not have put a dream in your heart if He did not already have a plan to bring it to pass.
God did not create you to be average.
God will finish the work He started in your life.
Voices will try to convince you otherwise. Don’t listen to them.
God put in Rachel’s heart a dream to have a child. She eventually gave up on it.
Just because we give up on a dream doesn’t mean God has.
The Bible says God remembered Rachel, not that Rachel remembered God.
He that began a good work in you will finish it.

My Action Steps After Reading

  • Praying bigger and bolder prayers.
  • Having more faith and trust in God and His plan for me.
